1st read of Kaplan lecture notes with Kaplan Dvds
2nd Read Kaplan lecture notes with First Aid and Q banks.
Practice as much MCQs as you(Kaplan Q bank, USMLE world Q bank, USMLERx Q bank)
3rd Read with First Aid revision and more practice of MCQs
NBME, UWSA & other online MCQs practice

 

You are right in mentioning Kaplan notes
The common mistake students do is start straight with First Aid
First Aid is only for review not for initial reading
There are certain charts in it to remember by heart

what do you think about pass program guys, any one used their course?

 

First AID is famous for step 1 preparation, but if you want to study in detail before coming to first AID then look last pages of first AID book, you will find long list of books plus their ratings recommended for step 1.
