SLE exam after final year exams

aoa... plz can somebody tell me whats the requirement for giving SLE to work as a GP in saudia? i want to give sle right after my final year exams... will i be eligible? plz guide me in this matter asap

 

Sorry that they have certain requirements to be eligible for SLE. You must have to have one year experience, at least, to be eligible for SLE.

 

Okay so will my house job be considered as a one year experience? Or does that mean one year experience in addition to house job?

 

Well, experience is what you do after house job. Housejob is counted as training job and not as experience.

Actually I'll be moving to KSA few months after my house job is completed.. Can u plz further guide me wat can i do to continue my career in saudia? I mean can i get some type of training just on the basis of my housejob?

 

You can take SMSE (Saudi medical selection exam) to get into residency program in any specialty. Please search about SMSE on this forum, or Google.

Experience is counted for a full time paid job or officially from a teaching hhospital after having registration from the registration body. The way you said can't work to obtain an experience for SLE eligibility. Also private hospitals don't recruit without registration from MOH

 

Hi dr watson, i wanted to ask if ther is any relaxation for doctors who have done their schooling from saudi arabia, as i reas somehwer that if ur a saudi or have finished high school in saudia then only one year internship is needed. One year of clinical experience is not needed. Is this true? I myself have done internship only and plan on giving the sle exam from bahrain. My friends told me that one can give the exam without experience and clear it but when you apply for licence they ask for experience. Please shed some light on this.
