SCFHS Status Change from Resident to Specialist on the basis of FCPS

J joined ksa as internal medicine resident in 2013.
I had already completed FCPS training and Intermediate Module of FCPS.
NOW I have cleared FCPS in March 2016. I thought that conversion from resident to specialist would be straightforward in my case but now my seniors are telling me if I d input my case in Saudi Comission they d outrightly reject it because i passed FCPS while working at KSA which is not acceptable.
Any prior experience or way out for me other than resigning?

Get their SLE internal medicine cleared then apply for specialist post, you will have to do 2 years residency under supervision then you can be upgraded as specialist
