process for getting PMDC Registration

    Process involved getting registered with PMDC
    In CHINA
    1. On successful completion of M.B.B.S, you'll be rewarded a degree. This degree/certificate (if not attested by the notary public of the city/region where your university is situated) need to be attested by the city govt. ( This process involves translation of the degrees / certificates which are usually in Chinese language into English to get verified by MOE ). Make sure you translate all the documents properly with appropriate stamps. Dual check it before going to the embassy.

    2. Verify the documents completely and go to MOE ( CHINA ) or MOFA to get it attested. ( In case you need to apply for higher education in China in medical field or vice versa )

    3. Last but not least, move to Pakistan's Embassy for attestation of your foreign degrees. Make sure you attest both copies of the transcripts i.e; Chinese & English, certificates as you'll need it later on while submitting to PMDC.

    IN PAKISTAN
    1. On arrival, as soon as you get time submit your documents personally to PMDC in Islamabad. Here keep in mind: Don't send your attested documents by post or by TCS or other courier services. Visit PMDC by yourself and submit the required documents. NOTE: Save an additional copy of the attested documents for your reference in future.

    2. Fill out the form with necessary requirements ( mentioned in the form already ). Apply for eligibility letter ( this is most important ). Wait for your documents to get attested and verified by PMDC ( this process takes most of the time usually ). Don't sit idle after submitting, get in touch with PMDC and ask them frequently about the status of your request. This is necessary because most of the students think that they've done their part now and their documents will be attested and verified easily by PMDC without any trouble. This is totally a misconception based on pointless self assumption which alternatively brings troubles to you which you'll have to face sooner or later. In order to save yourself from any trouble, ask PMDC on regular basis of the status of your documents whether they're attested or not. ( Why am i saying this, you'll get to know once you face PMDC ) ;)

    3. I don't know how much time it takes to get your documents attested by PMDC now. But this whole process
    ( from attestation to ---> verification to ---> Getting Eligibility Letter ) takes one month to two months approximately.

    4. After you get Eligibility Letter, apply for the permission letter to appear/sit in the NEB exam.
