    HELLO
will be really glad if i get answers regarding PRES
first of all i hav already read at IMC site that with internship from Pakistan you can get exemption from PRES.but i m confused choosing between the general division or r the trainee specialist division beacuse they ask me to fill up few Q's on the site to tell me in which division i can apply but they say in both .but is not the general division to only work there as a g.p and for residency you need to enter trainee division?so how can i apply in both?are both the same?wats the difference?and in which of these i need to give PRES?or i can enter either one without PRES?
    thanks in advance

    Hi
For general categroy you will be exempted and can only work as GP. You dont need to take exam.
For Trainee Category, you can go into specialist training. You will have to take PRES exam.
You can not apply in both categories at the same time as the procedure is different, in one you are exempted and in other you have to take exam.

    HEY another Q
my internship rotation are as follows
    general surgery-3months
    general medicine-3 months
    obs/gyne-2months
    peads- 1 1/2 month
rest are 15 days in each minor like ent cardiology radiology psychiatry derma

i feel i m 15 days short in peads for excemption from PRES is that so?
cuz its written at their site that besides 3 months in gen.surgery and gen.med you need to have at least 2month rotation in rest?
    please reply soon
    thanks

Well you can do 15 days more in peds and get certificate of 2 months. It would eliminate the chances of rejection.
    Best of luck
