Can you please quote their reply? As in the rules of Irish medical council it's not mentioned that without internship one can sit exam.
I have given link to application checklist and it includes house job.

By selecting options; graduated from outside EU/EEA , No internship done, No specialist training done, not seeking exemption from PRES, you will get these instructions.
There is point no. 5 (highlighted in red and bold) for Internship certificate.

I couldnt see any document saying that for general registration you do not need internship certificate (House job). Please be clear with them and if you can quote their reply here, it would be great help for this community.

    Graduated outside EU/EEA/Switzerland

Based on your answers above, you may be entitled to apply for: General Registration

    What should I do now?
    • Complete Application Form and attach passport-sized recent colour photo
    • Attach notarized/attested copy current passport
    • Pay appropriate fee. Click here for further information about fees.
    • If you did not graduate in Ireland, attach notarized/attested copy basic (primary) medical qualification (carton degree) and any postgraduate qualifications awarded since graduation
    • Attach notarized/attested copy Internship Certificate (if you completed your internship in Pakistan provide a Certificate of Experience issued by the PMDC in lieu of your internship certificate)
    • If you have been registered with another competent authority (outside the State) in the past five years, request each competent authority/ies to send an original Certificate of Current Professional Status/Certificate of Good Standing directly to the Medical Council (do not submit it with your application).
    • Attach 4 x additional photos with your application
    • If you have indicated on your application form a history of a relevant medical disability that might affect your competence as a medical practitioner, you should request your treating doctor to issue a recently-dated report directly to the Medical Council. [You may also be required to undergo an independent assessment.]
    • If you have indicated a history of disciplinary proceedings in another jurisdiction you should submit details of same
    • You will undergo a "Level 1" assessment/verification of your documentation to establish if you are eligible for general registration. Applicants who are not exempt will also be required to pass the PRES "Level 2" and "Level 3". All applicants who have passed or are exempt from the PRES will also be required to undergo a "Level 4" assessment.
    • For further information read Registration Rules
    • Read "A Guide to the Application Procedure"
    • You are required to pass the PRES. DO NOT accept an offer of employment unless and until declared eligible for general registration.

When Chinese issue mbbs degree they issue it after 1 year internship. But here Dr watson said it will be considered only as a clerkship. I am confused why Chinese use word internship then?.

Well cool boy it's just like there is MD degree awarded in Russia equals to mbbs in Pakistan or mbchb in UK. While MD in china and USA it's master degree, not bachelor's degree. It's just change of meanings. In china they consider internship as observership pr clerkship, in UK USA etc it's considered as house job. In some countries house job is called house officership.

i don't understand why in India they count this as their internship. My seniors did intern in China and after going to India they will be sitting for exam and after that they will be given complete MCI registration.Same is the case of our classmates who sat for MCI test before graduation and internship and then after passing MCI test they are doing internship in India. After that they will sit for graduation exam and after getting degree they will be recognized as Licensed doctors in India.

May be the internship they are doing there is like house job and it depends on how medical council considers it. Pmdc however does not consider it as house job and our internship in Pakistan is not a house job, it's just observership
