PMDC format for step 1 includes everything for each subject. The only exception is Forensics and community medicine. For these two subjects, topics given there are enough to prepare for the exam. For other subjects, you will have to do everything.docfarooq said:

I want to ask about COMMUNITY MEDICINE. I studied all the topics but few things are confusing me.
1. MCH, REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH, STD
----- What are the topics i should study from MCH, REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH & STD.......
I'm studying NOMAN HASHMI'S BOOK, and some topics are not given in this book, so I need help.
I request XAVIER, DR.WATSON, ABANISH and everybody who cleared STEP I, please help, with thanks.

Hi everyone... I see this post is relevant to what I need....but it started back in 2011 and the exam pattern changed in 2012.... Can anyone please tell me as to what the pattern is.... and also what subjects to study for part one of NEB.... I called pmdc they said itll be right after Ramadan .... so basically i need the subjects the pattern and any other tips...I got one month or so to study and nail it !! thanks...

I am appearing for NEB for the first time I need to know the exact subjects and pattern of the paper and then I need to know the books or material needed for the prep..... please help me out the forum is mixing step 1 and 2 and 3 altogether.... thats not neat!Jibran said:

The subjects in each subject are listed in the first post of this topic. The books which are important are also listed there under each 'step' heading. However, for books, u can also search more topics in "PMDC EXAM section" PLUS the replies in this topic.
If u r still confused about it, feel free to ask. And give us some feedback why the forum is confusing and what could be done to make it easily understandable, from ur point of view.

i need your help in medicine regarding important topics,as you also know that time is very shor, i dont have much time to study the whole medicine , i have studied medicine infectious and respiratory unit completely ,
but i am nill in heart and GIT and RENAL ,Blood and Rheumatology. i need your help & guidance for the important topics if you let me know from these units to study ,
you have always been helping us ,so today again disturbing you for the help.
i am studying at home ,i havent joined any accademy ,i have cleared part 1 by my hardworking ,i and like me many students need your guidance, please reply
