PLAB MRCP ANALYSIS.

Respected seniors:
Which method is best? Plab first or MRcp in pak first then plab later?
Which method refines the chances of getting job fast or improves cv?
How mrcp mrcs from pakistan etc are different from that in UK?
Plab is accepted in which other countries in europe? UAE? which could be taken on the list 2nd to UK based job opportunities provided one decides to learn a bit of there language?
Why dont people join one of the foundation programs or go for mrcp mrcs straight after graduation? Plab required for FY1?
How much does a non-training job pay? Enough for one person to live there by himself overthere? Is it worth it?
Comparatively Mrcp is better or Mrcs or any other?
REAL QUESTION IS Can we do Mrcp Mrcs etc simultaneously along with fcps in pakistan? how about securing Fcps, mrcp both this way and then going for plab? I.e. not burning the boats???

1. If you want to take training in UK, doing MRCP and PLAB either way is same, no effect of change of order.
2. Passing just MRCP 1,2 may help you get job and improve CV but it is not guaranteed method that it will surely give you priority.
3. No difference in MRCP/MRCS from PK or UK as Exam is the same and requirements are same too.
4. PLAB gives you exemption from Licensing exam in UAE and Bahrain. as far as i know. In Europe it doesnt make you exempted from european countries licensing exams, unless you are EEA graduate (european economic area)
5. people have their own circumstances, MRCP , MRCS can be done after 18 months of graduation.
6. Yes PLAB required for FY1
7. ofcourse, doctors pay are higher in UK and are enough for family. Pay is around 2500 GBP initially (excluding tax) and goes up when you go for training or GP.
8. Its your own choice and preference what field you choose, MRCS is for surgery and MRCP is for medicine.
9. YES, you can do FCPS and MRCP/MRCS together provided your supervisor is both FCPS and MRCS/MRCP approved supervisor.

 

How does one exactly gets into mrcp course after plab?? Is there a criteria?
Can we study like mrcp and stuff while we are doing our non training job? if yes which parts? is it the deference btw training and non training job that one cant study during non training one?
Will my experience during non training job count in my resume or does it count i mean practically too???
Can one simply not join the field they put one in at the moment and join in the next one which is personally favorable then the previous one? How much do we have to wait till next option?? what are the risks of doing such???? accommodation etc during waiting?
what are our options regarding studies during the non training job???

1.please see MRCP requirements on viewtopic.php?f=27&t=173 , they dont change after doing PLAB.
2. No body stops you from study, if you have time, You will have to do self study while on non training job and after passing MRCP 1&2 you would enter training job and gain practical knowledge and still you do self study.
3. Yes non-training post experience counts too in CV.
4. I didnt get your question completely, so i assume you are asking a scenario after PLAB? After clearing PLAB, You apply for FY2 (Foundation year 2, if you have already done your house job from Pakistan) or FY1. After finishing FY2, you will choose your path either for GP or training post. Both needs passing exams and then you can be eligible to join that kind of post. In FY1/2 there are rotations in each department and there is no point of saying NO to any mandatory department.

MRCP part 1 and 2 pass krne k bad 2 n half year experience chahye hota he to take MRCP part 3 (PAECES) or wo pass kr len to phr ap MRCP specialist hen. then Pakistan men job mil jati he as a specialist.
UK men job k lie PLAB lazmi he or us k bagher ap GMC men register nhi hote or na practice license milta he or na job.
PLAB exemption us surat men ho sakti he agr apko koi hospital sponsor kr de directly PLAB dene se pehle to PLAB nhi dena parta.

 

AoA Sir Watson, i am a graduate from belarussian university. i plan to give plab exam in november INSHAA ALLAH i wanted to know is it compulsory one sud have his/her internship done in pakistan aftre clearing PMDc than is capable for giving plab or we can sit for plab exam without doing internship?

you can sit PLAB without house job too. If you have done house job in Pakistan then you could get medical officer job in UK after PLAB, depending on availability.

From what I have read and understood, passing MRCP exempts one from giving PLAB. After giving MRCP we can get GMC registration and the registration in GMC is the thing which is required in order to get job in UK. Morever MRCP pass candidates can enter into specialty/core training as per the availability of positions.

 

Hello dr.muddasser.i recently have done my housejob.should i go for plab part 1?n i heared after completing plab exam if we wish to take mrcp exam we must do it under 2 years after giving plab exam.why is it necessary? N if so how about giving mrcp exam before taking plab exam? Or will there be still time restriction?and what are the chances of getting job afterwards in uk?

You may attempt MRCP straightaway ...

MRCP diploma would exempt you from PLAB. You can acquire GMC registration on the basis of MRCP.
