This post is directed specially towards the students who are doing/have done PG from China.
    • how is the training on the scale of 1 to 10? (1o being the best)
    • how difficult to tolerate is the language barrier on the scale of 1 to 10? (10 being impossible to tolerate)
    • which is the best university and hospital for PG training?
    • which is the best medical/surgical field to study in China? and why?
    • your recommendations?
    • how are things managed financially? (for scholarship students)
Please take part in the above questionnaire. Thanks in advance.

==training standard in my point of view is about 7/10
==language barrier/difficulty for those who never studied chinese is 9/10
for those who have studied mbbs in english medium in china the language barrier is 6/10
even if the programmes are in english medium again expect 6/10 difficulty scale.
for those who studied UG with chinese students and are quite fluent in chinese the training is superb for them.
==for best hospitals ....no clear idea but most of the institutes and hospitals are considered good
==best field.... as i see it surgical fields are such where you can actively take part assist and go on with such things learn skills practically see different ideas being practicalised on the other hand i medical fields are ok but the big big problem is that of language where you are unable to ask what you really want to .
the last question ....can not get clearly what is meant by it. if it is scholarship stiped...it is hardly meeting our needs but is ok. tuition and accomodation being free. this is all what i think about the PG programme in china.

    • training scale i would say that's 9/10 ( in good universities)
    • any one can get adjusted to the accent if he/she is keen to gain knowledge, and language accent should not be considered as a barrier.
    • I can't single out any university or hospital for training as i dont have such vast experience for hospitals training.
    • Best field to study in China is Surgery and its sub specialities, as Chinese are very good at surgery.
    • My recommendations for prospective PG students wanting Post graduation in surgery should go there but in good universities already teaching to foreign PGs.
    • For scholarship students, they get monthly stipend from university so their self expenses are easily managed, moreover they can teach english and get good money for that if they get oppurtunity.
    Thats all

You should keep in mind that English teaching is illegal in China without proper documents. Many foreigners in recent years have been caught.

@wazir @drwatson Thanks alot. I am sure this information will guide the many. Do you guys know anyone who has studied or is studying "SURGERY" in China now?
I am planning to apply for CSC scholarship but it seems there are only 3 universities offering surgical training in English.
One can find a lot of information from students and agents about chinese language courses in derma, paeds, radio etc on scholarship but its very hard for me to find a surgical student. If there is anyone form Nanjing, Qinghai or lanzhou on this forum?

First you should find some prof. You can visit their profile and over there they do have mentioned that what's their research interest and their On going projects mostly they have divided their group into two so,one group works with him in hospital they have to assist and yes have to collect data like biopsy and the clinical investigation record according to the instructions and on the other hand the other group have to work in the laboratory so,first find the professor ,write him an email ,tell him your interst and than write a study plan or you can say your research plan ,get a provisional acceptance and apply for the school he is affiliated with if the school is offering their prog taught in English that's good but if it's taught in Chinese in that case you have to study Chinese language for a year than you may start you major studies other questions are already been discussed so will say best wishes for your post grad studies.

    @Samixmu thanks for your answer.
@Dr. Shu u r welcome bro. now u have also reply from a PG student in China.
So, when you select your university choices, see which professors are incharge for that programme and contact them through email. Their emails would be present on university's website.
Yes its illegal, but many students teach english but without publicizing their work and quietly.

@Samixmu Thanks alot for your reply.
As i mentioned my interest is in surgery, i didnt know in surgical training one has to do research aswell (or do they?) i saw in the CSC website there are 3 unis who r offering masters in surgery here is the link
    http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua/progra...ntDate=&scholarshipTpye=1&programName=surgery
so my question is, How does the surgical training works around there? Is research necessary?
whats your field of PG though?
