LAHORE: The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) has developed Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS) for polyclinics and clinics of family physicians.
The PHC had organised a consultative workshop to present these standards to the stakeholders including office bearers of Pakistan Academy of Family Physicians and specialist doctors.
According to the PHC spokesperson, the participants of the workshop have endorsed majority of these standards and related indicators and have given suggestions for improving the draft. After incorporation of these suggestions, the MSDS will be presented before the PHC’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and the PHC’s Board of Commissioners.
The implementation of MSDS would ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services, leading to greater patient satisfaction, spokesperson said.–Staff Reporter


PMA’s weekly workshop for docs
LAHORE: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) arranged a workshop at PMA House on Friday to enable doctors to complete CME score, requirement for registration with PMDC.
PMA is holding workshop every Friday to provide an opportunity to the participants to fulfill PMDC requirements.
Dr Shahid Malik delivered lecture on preventive medicine and Dr Zulfiqar took review session of MCQs of national and international exam.–Staff Reporter
