[QUI dis TE="drwatson, post: 5772, member: 53"]If you have done your MBBS with less than 60 % marks or want to do MBBS but the hurdle is less than 60% marks in FSC. Its only the rule of PMDC which restricts its licensing exam eligibility to holders of more than 60% marks in FSC pre-medical. So, If you can get MBBS degree with less than 60% marks, you will be a doctor, but you will not be able to get PMDC registration.
There are two scenarios for such people, those who are residents of Pakistan and others who are Pakistanis but residing out of Pakistan (Saudi Arabia, UAE etc)
The world has many opportunities but doesnt stop on just PMDC. One has to search for opportunities, and there are endless opportunities.
Another thought, that if you have same scenario, should only proceed with MBBS if its your utmost wish to be a doctor. If not, please go for what you like, do not do it for any other person because at last its you who would suffer, not the other person who wished you to be a doctor.

For those who are only residents of Pakistan.
Those who are only residents of Pakistan and for such cases they only have option to look for opportunities abroad, such as doing PLAB (UK) and going to United Kingdom, or doing USMLE and going to USA. The USMLE option has another hurdle in it that he/she would only get hold of opportunities which offer H1B visas but not J1 Visas as J1 visas would require Statement of Need from Pakistan and that in turn requires PMDC registration. There are many other options such as Australia, New zealand, europe etc. It would definitely require hard work, time, finance to go for those opportunities.
Doing MRCP, MRCS or any Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons UK/Ireland exams and then getting experience in UK after passing PLAB can be another alternative to be eligible for PMDC exemption (http://www.pfmsg.com/pmdc-exam-exemptions/‎).
There are options in which one can do housejob in other countries and then can resume job as a doctor there, such as Doing Housejob in Dubai (read this viewtopic.php?t=1252&p=4496#p4500 ). You will have to search for such options.
One can also go for MPH (masters in Public health), but this degree can be earned by non-doctors too so why first be a doctor?

For those (Pakistanis) who are residents in other countries
Those who are residing in middle east or other countries since long and having their resident permits, have less hurdles as they can easily get House job in their respective countries. After doing house jobs one can continue job in same hospital, but he will have to pass the respective country's licensing exam.
After completing house job one can also go for MRCP, MRCS or any Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons UK/Ireland exams and completing the experience requirements, can get PMDC exemption (www.pfmsg.com/pmdc-exam-exemptions.htm‎).

Any other who wants to add about opportunities for such cases, is welcome to post your useful info. It would be highly appreciated, as many are in search of such infos.

    Thanks

UPDATE: PLAB UK now needs Good standing certificate, and which can be get only if you are registered and licensed practitioner with any medical licensing authority such as PMDC.
