How to get Equivalence from HEC, Pakistan

this is very helpful Dr.watson... i wanted to ask that my university is not recognized with PMDC, can i get the equivalence certificate? becoz the recognition of university by pmdc is mentioned in the certificate u posted!

No problem if your university is not recognized. On the certificate it's written that hec recognizes the degree, it's not same as university recognition by pmdc.

Update:
PMDC registration is required for HEC equivalence.

 

hi this is imran i have done MBBS from china,any one here can tell me how can i get equivalency from HEC ,I went HEC but they asked me for equivalency first PMDC registration. so is it possible MBBS equivalency without PMDC registration?

 

Lol, I guess no and never, dude start.preparation for PMDC. Don't look for shortcuts.

dr zeeshan from bwp..i want to discuss a point abt equivalence certificate...i went for inteview of some adhoc based medical officers seats by health department yesterday n there they asked about this certificate..but what they asked that total marks of MBBS(china) is equal to how many marks of MBBS(pak)...just like the coversion of marks of A levels into Fsc...they said its compulsory for making merit...without this how can we know where u stand in the merit as some of u even hav more than 85% marks in MBBS...they asked me to get this kind of equivalent certificate from HEC or pmdc to become eligible for the interview...so what to do..?? i heard PPSC also demand something like that...

Those interviewers are illiterate about this matter. HEC equivalence or PMDC certificate doesn't state about your marks or their equivalency to Pakistani mbbs marks. Actually the course of mbbs is same all over world and is not like A levels and fsc as there are not different subjects and curriculum in every country or university. They can simply calculate your GPA and compare with GPA of other candidates to see where you stand.

yeah u r right but problem is how to make them understand..me n my fellows tried to convince them but they didnt even listen to us...there is so much discrimination...i even didnt get residency just coz i m a foreign graduate...i heard ppsc demands same thing...kindly tell me how to sort it out???i just lost a very gud job opprtunity coz of this....feeling frustrated ...beinng a foreign grad is an unforgivable sin in this country..even after passing pmdc exam and part 1 in first attempt...really discouraging attitude from head of institutes....

First of all, you should show them the sample of HEC equivalence certificate I posted in this thread's first posts.
If you they are not convinced then ask them sample of such certificate they want or make your hec equivalence and then show them.
It's not discrimination, it's kinda monopoly for supporting locals. Only GPA can be compared with local graduates and not the percentages.
Don't be frustrated, you would get better opportunities, this world is full of opportunities.
That's not a sin but you are better than most of local graduates as you have experience of foreign and locals are limited to the very limited experiences in Pakistan.

 

Dr. Watson, i have also tried to get Equivalence from HEC as am FMG from china (DMU). But they refused to give till i have PMDC registration. I am trying to get admission in MBA.. would you please update us on this matter, if you have any resource at HEC....

One of my friend who was doing Msc psychology got suspension when he was unable to provide equivalence certificate by HEC.
