How to get Equivalence from HEC, Pakistan

Higher Education Commission Equivalence :

1. Go to HEC Equivalence Cell with all your academic documents originals (Matric, Intermediate, Degree, mark sheets, academic calendar of university etc), Passport and NIC, Admission letter, proof of residence abroad (if you have any).
2. Get the form for Degree Equivalence, fill it, and attach photocopies of Matric, Intermediate, Degree (if you have Both English and native language degrees, attach both), Mark sheets of university, academic calendar (a calendar mentioning hours of teaching of each subject for whole study), Passport (photocopy of all pages having visas and entry exit stamps for whole period), NIC of Pakistan, ID card of university (if you still have), Admission letter of university, proof of residence in that country (if you have, its better, or photocopies of visas on passport are alternative to this).
PLEASE CHECK THE CHECK LIST OF DOCUMENTS ON THE BACK OF THE FORM, SO THAT YOU DONT MISS ANY THING.
3. Submit to Equivalence Cell with the Fee receipt, which is to be paid on counters outside.
4. You will get the Equivalence in 10-12 days or sooner, but that would be provisional and you need to verify that by asking your dean of the university to email to sasim@hec.gov.pk (Syed Asim Hussain,Assistant Director, Attestation and Accreditation, HEC), stating that you were a student at their university for that period and you were graduated, etc. Ask your dean to send the same email to you also at the same time, and when you get that email you also email to the above email address, not changing anything.
5. Once they get this verification email, they will send you the final letter within 2-3 days.
Please provide the address where TCS could reach so you get the post asap.

ATTESTATION OF HEC EQUIVALENCE:

1. If you have enough time, you can go to das.hec.gov.pk , make your profile and enter your academic qualifications, and then enter the qualification you got equivalence of, once again, but put HEC as institute name, and islamabad in location, other particulars remain same. Proceed to the selection of degree to be attested, and you select the one appearing there (with HEC as institute). Select the time slot availabe (1 week is reserved, so you will get slot one week later), and then print the form. Check the documents check list (which includes HEC equivalence, other academic certificates, and their photocopies). Fee for attestation would be 500 PKR.
2. If you dont have enough time, just go to HEC computer room, and follow the step 1 there. There will also be an assistant to guide you through the process.
3. You will get the attested document within 2 hours.

after getting equivaence from HEC ,can we get admission in MPH in pakistan?

 

well, obviously yes! But i think you dont need it for admission in any program, unless requirements say so.

 

why do we need Equivalence?
i mean where it will b helpfull?

 

it is required if you wanna give CSS exam, by some universities in Pakistan if you want to get admission in post graduate, like MPH, M.S etc, or some times by the employers abroad like Saudia (they require you to get HEC equivalence for VISA)
