    Hello Everyone,
Can someone please tell me which books I should buy and study from to prepare for Step 1 and Step 2 of PMDC? including any MCQ books I should practice from. I am also really confused about where I should study from for clinical pharma, forensic and community medicine. Lippincot is a little bit detailed so I think it won't be a good idea to study from it as there are 6 months.
    Thanks ......

    Salam.
I am preparing all the subjects from usmle step 1 lecture notes and lecture videos. For forensic and community I am using internet(only PMDC topics). Isn't that enough for PMDC. Or I switch to books by Pakistani writers. What for mcqs as usmle mcqs are case based but PMDC mcqs are not. Waiting for reply. ......

    bro
step 1 lecture notes require sufficient time , i have also lecutre notes, and i have studied them too ,but regarding the pmdc exam part one its not much use ,,if your knowledge is weak you can get study from usmle lecture notes, but the part 1 of pmdc has short essay questions not senarios ,,they ask simple question for example what is fate of hemoglobin, fate of rbc, functions of rbc ,,so for them you have to study pakistani author book ,time is short so review books which is copy of major books you should study for example

firdays review of physiology is a copy from gyuton physiology but in simple easy to the point
    inam danish pathology ......

    Salam.
Bro thanks for your kind reply.
I know that PMDC well have simple questiona and simple mcqs, but I love to study from usmle lecture notes and videos.
Whenever I study from review books other than them I feel very very uncomfortable from inside. Don't know why. Can't squeeze knowledge from them.
Other thing I don't care about time, in fact I am exactly on plan with usmle lecture notes and videos.
My simplest enquiry is that whether I can pass PMDC if I only prepare from usmle lecture notes and videos. ......

dear the usmle lecture notes videos and kaplan books r very good. thy r enough for any medical exam in this world. but every exam have some specific concern about their candidates knowlage so you have to fimilier ur self wid exam needs and riquirements for instance pmdc exam , part 1, 2 or 3 checks the basics understanding and concept of a student and most importantly ur chronic knowlage , which u have acquired during past 5 yers.
so at the end of the day u can study from usmle videos and kaplan lecture notes but figure it out what step 1 of pmdc require. ......

i dont think so these books are enough for those students who are going to do these buks first time. but if u have core knowledge , for revision these buks are good.
but i wud suggest to do important subjects from authentic books once atleast coz at the end of day it wud be ur knowledge which can help u in any kind of exam or clinical field ......
