6 months after graduation, a comparison with my classmates.

A comparison between me and my Nigerian colleague 6 months after graduation.
1- Had to get confirmation from university for NEB eligibility<> The Nigerian licensing body believe on their Embassies and don't need any confirmation.
2- The exam date is only finalized 2 months before exam<> Nigerian students knew at least the month of exam 6 months before.
3- 3 steps of exam conducted almost every 3-5 months<> 2 steps of exams conducted same week. Every six month.
As for now many doctors like me still either trying to clear this exam or cleared only 1 step<>cleared their exam and doing house job now (800-1000$ pay)
Don't want to demoralize any one but still it is heart breaking how we are treated in our own country.

@coolboy101 Amazed to read that country like nigeria care for their future docs.
Lemme give you a brief insight of the psychology of FMG's now.
Truth is; FMG's don't want themselves to be recognized as an organized and collective body on a national scale. They just want to clear the exam by any means and their approach is just revolving around it. They don't think out of the box and the reason possibly be of the circumstances they've faced or facing but that's creating more problems for 'em instead of solving. Being an FMG, we're helping our fellows f.o.c and our aim is to make them aware of their own rights so that they should raise their voice to be heard. But unfortunately, our fellows FMG's instead of raising their voice against this injustice, they're getting divided in various groups and associations. Alas! ......

No you don't know about these people at all. Pmdc is mafia and so does the cpsp. They have hundred and thousands of scholarship for students given by un and other orgs but they don't utilize them until their own relatives can. And do you think fmg know too much that they will pass all exams in flying high colors? That's not the case certainly. Foreign exams are much difficult than pmdc but the good thing about those is that they check your knowledge application rather than rote learning . yes I think all med grads should have a licensing exam just like USA so equal opportunities should be available for everyone. Fmg should refer to supreme Court of Pakistan for this unfair treatment. ......

@coolboy101 to bhai jan ap log CBT ki demand ko manwao na. Protests to koi way nahi he, this is Pakistani fashion k jo chez manwani ho usk lie protest kro.
PFMSGs ki top demand CBT (computer based test) honi chahye jo k unfortunately not supported by PFDA. Or PFMSGs ko iska shaoor b nahi he. Yahan pr men ne try ki k CBT lie kuch support hasil ki jay lekin koi faida nahi hua or wo petition ab qabar men he.
