Luzhou Medical College (LZMC) was established in 1951
LZMC is recognized by W.H.O (world health organization), Chinese ministry of Education, UNESCO, China Scholarship Council, Chinese medical association and international medical educational directory (IMED).
It was authorized by the Degree Committee of the State Council to confer master’s Degrees in 1993, and began to confer Doctor’s Degrees in 2002. It is one of the “Top 5 Model Universities in Electronic Education” in Sichuan Province. For more than 50 years, the college has trained 20,000 students, and has evolved into a large-scale college of teaching, medical care and scientific research
Luzhou Medical College (LZMC) was authorized to admit long-term international students in June 2003. From the autumn of 2004, LZMC began to admit long-term medical students (MBBS). At present, there are more than 250 international students from different countries (India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Most of
African countries, USA, Canada, Afghanistan) studying in LZMC.
On March 25th, 2013 The Ministry of Education updates their List for the Enrollment of English Medium MBBS students. The Luzhou Medical College was granted with 80 seats for this year. With the award of this LZMC is now approved from BMDC, PMDC, and MCI & NMC.
